We were on a budget and running on our last few kuna, so we weren't planning on paying to walk round the city walls at first. But it was our last night before getting the ferry to Italy and we had enough for the tickets if we pooled our cash so we decided to splash out. Although there was some debate over going to a restaurant instead and having some mussels, we ended up with bread, cheese and fish-paste from the local supermarket and a beautiful view for our last night in Croatia.

Unfortunately the walls closed at 6pm so we didn't get to stay up there and watch the sunset (which would have been incredible!) but you can't have it all I 'spose.
